Demonstration/Talks

I am available to do sculpture demonstrations and presentations for any sized group. In October I typically do several pumpkin carving demonstrations while talking about the history of pumpkin carving.

Other popular demonstrations are on site carving projects themed to the event. If your event is charitable I am open to donating the finished work.

One popular Christmas themed presentation is the backstory of Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol”. He came up with the name Ebenezer Scrooge based on a Ebenezer Scroggie’s Gravestone he saw on a walk in Kent several years before. He made note of it because in addition to his name it said. “a mean man” which Dickens remarked what a horrible way to be remembered through eternity. Later it was found that Mr. Scroggie dealt in grain, and the gravestone actually said “a meal man”. These and other stores are par my multimedia presentation on this great book.

I have another multimedia presentation about the Christmas gift givers of Europe that ranges from the pagan times to today.
